FEIST & FEIST REALTY CORP. was founded in 1903 in Newark at 58 Park Place by immigrant brothers Abraham and Herman Feist. Their three story colonial building, located directly opposite Military Park, still stands and for many years the quote, in bronze, "Deeds not Words" was set in concrete at the front entrance.

In later years, Abraham's son, Irving, succeeded him as president. Since its founding, the company has been a major presence in the development, sales and leases of industrial, office and commercial properties.

FEIST & FEIST'S roster of clients over the years has included Fortune 500 companies as well as local and regional businesses. Among them are General Foods, Cities Service, Merck, Philip Morris, Anheuser-Busch, Hoffmann La Roche, Bausch & Lomb, First Union Bank, Johnson & Johnson, Prudential Insurance Co., Krupp, SIG Plastics Technologies (USA) Inc. and Rutgers University.

Additionally, the company gained national recognition as one of the first realtors involved in major shopping centers in the 1950s and 1960s including the Monmouth Mall, Manalapan Mall, Staten Island Mall, and Smith Haven Mall, Smithtown, N.Y.

Upon the passing of Irving Feist in 1978, the presidency was assumed by his son, John Feist, and then in 1981, the firm was acquired by four of its key personnel, all of whom had been prominent deal makers and instrumental in the shaping of the company.

In the year 2000, FEIST & FEIST REALTY CORP. acquired COLDWELL BANKER COMMERCIAL® franchises for its 3 offices in order to more effectively serve its clients on a national and international level.

Today, at the helm is John H. Adams, SIOR, President of the firm located in the Roseland, New Jersey office, John Horan, Senior Vice President and Manager of the Central New Jersey office and Michael Adams, Senior Vice President and Manager of the Allentown, Pennsylvania office.
